CIS offers a variety of academic software to UNH students. The software can be utilized in the Computing Clusters and most of the software is available for download/use on a personal computer. So, instead of walking to the Cluster, you can complete your homework in the comfort of your dorm room or even from off campus. A complete list of the academic software available can be found at http://at.unh.edu/acs/services/software/. Have additional questions? Contact the IT Help Desk at (603) 862-4242.

There are six group collaboration tables located in front of the Information Technology Support Center at the Dimond Library. Each desk has both a Dell desktop computer and a VGA (video graphics array) laptop interface. This VGA connection allows for a student to connect his/her personal, portable computer to the 24″ monitors on the collaboration desks. To enable this on a PC, turn on the video output by pressing F8 (Fn+8). For Apple computers, use the video adapter to automatically start the ‘dual screen’ output. This can be used to practice presentations, collaborate research, and even view multimedia displays, such as movies, power points, slide shows, etc.
